Distributor Information
During the early 1960s, the company understood that smaller “locally based” resellers were the proper vehicles to market its newly developed Unibilt® conveyor. Several companies were contracted to represent Unibilt products, and an internal team of individuals was developed to oversee these reseller accounts. The product line proved so successful that the Unibilt division was formally inaugurated in 1965.
The number of resellers under contract grew steadily over the years. In 1984, several companies from different regions were brought together to discuss the Unibilt division’s future and its operations. The regional representatives’ first act was to name the program participants as “Unibilt distributors” and establish the distributor council.
The distributor network has evolved over the past several decades to the point where member companies have asked for access to other Daifuku products. The UnIBeam™ division was created in 1992 to allow distributors access to I-beam products. In addition, the company has provided training for, and supported distributor efforts, in the areas of power & free and floor systems.
Typically, Daifuku distributors have material handling expertise in more areas than just chain products. Thus, our distributors can evaluate a material handling project and offer the best solution to an end user.
