Daifuku Joins the Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights (JaCER)
Reporting hotline established for all stakeholders through the "Engagement and Remedy Platform"
Osaka, Japan—Daifuku Co., Ltd. ("Daifuku") announces that it has joined the Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights (JaCER) as a regular member and opened a reporting hotline (as part of the organization's Grievance Mechanism) on April 1, using the "Engagement and Remedy Platform" provided by JaCER.
JaCER is an organization that provides a non-judicial platform for grievance redress in accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and supports member companies in redressing human rights concerns and grievances from a professional and neutral perspective.
This reporting hotline receives grievances regarding adverse human rights impacts from all stakeholders, both domestic and international. For reported cases, we will verify the facts and engage in dialogue with the parties involved with the professional support of JaCER, and take corrective action and implement measures to prevent recurrence as necessary.
Based on the Daifuku Group Human Rights Policy, we recognize that respect for human rights is one of our most important responsibilities for the sustainable growth of our business and organization. We will continue to strengthen our response to human rights issues by minimizing adverse human rights impacts and enhancing the effectiveness of remedies.
