MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index

Daifuku has been selected as a constituent of the MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index. This index is constructed by selecting companies that have high Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ratings from among the constituents of the Parent Index (MSCI Japan Investable Market Index). Daifuku has been assigned a rating of ‘AA’ in the MSCI ESG Rating.

The Daifuku Group discloses its initiatives through responses to the CDP’s questionnaire on climate change and water security for companies with the highest market capitalization. Daifuku has received a rating of A (Leadership Level) for climate change and a rating of A- (Leadership Level) for water security.

The Daifuku Group has been selected to hold a place on the SEA Leaderboard, the highest rating on CDP’s Supplier Engagement Rating (SEA), which evaluates supplier engagement in regards to climate change.

Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating

Sustainalytics ESG Risk Ratings

As of June 2025, Daifuku Co., Ltd. has received an ESG Risk Rating of 23.4 from Morningstar Sustainalytics and was assessed to be at medium risk of experiencing material financial impacts from ESG factors.

DBJ Health Management Rating

DBJ Health Management Rating

Daifuku has received the Health Management Rating certification for the rated loan program developed by the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ). In July 2021, we renewed our highest-rank classification of “excellent initiatives toward employees’ health management,” which we received in 2016.

2024 Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health

KENKO Investment for Health

Daifuku’s various initiatives regarding health management have been favorably evaluated, and we have been certified as one of the 2024 Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health (large-enterprise category) jointly selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi. Daifuku has received this certification for eight consecutive years since 2017.

Eruboshi Certification

Eruboshi

The Eruboshi Certification is a system in which the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare recognizes corporations that demonstrate excellence in their initiatives to promote women's participation and advancement in the workplace. Due to the favorable evaluations we received regarding our initiatives in working hours and other working conditions, ratio of managers, and diverse career paths, we received the two-star Eruboshi mark (level two) in October 2024.

IR Site Ranking 2024 Silver Award

IR Site Ranking Silver Award

Daifuku received the silver award for the Gomez IR Site Ranking 2024, and we ranked 109th place overall. This ranking is based on survey items composed of four categories: the website’s user friendliness, comprehensiveness of financial and accounting information, comprehensiveness of corporate and management information, and the proactiveness and progressiveness of information disclosure, and analysts evaluate the IR information disclosed by listed companies. In fiscal 2024, 402 of 3,838 eligible companies were nominated for final selection, and 261 were chosen as outstanding IR website corporations.

ESG Site Ranking Outstanding Corporation

Daifuku received the Outstanding Corporation award for the Gomez ESG Site Ranking 2024, and we ranked 66th place overall. This ranking evaluates eligible corporations using survey items composed of five categories: the website’s user friendliness, common ESG, environment (E), social (S), and governance (G). These categories are set not only from the perspective of main users such as shareholders and investors, but a wide range of stakeholders. In fiscal 2024, a total of 384 companies nominated for the Gomez IR Site Ranking were surveyed, and 169 of these were selected as outstanding ESG website corporations.

Fiscal 2024 Website Comprehensiveness Ranking of All Japanese Listed Companies Highest Excellence Award (December 2024)

Daifuku received the Highest Excellence Award in the general category of the fiscal 2024 ranking of all listed companies by website comprehensiveness conducted by Nikko Investor Relations Co., Ltd. through their surveys of the websites of 3,975 corporations. This marks the second consecutive year Daifuku has received this award.

Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award for Vocational Skills Development (November 2024)

Daifuku received the 2024 Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award for Vocational Skills Development. This award recognizes business and organizations that have made significant contributions over a long period of time to the implementation of certified vocational training and skill testing as well as the promotion of skill development and that can serve as models for others. As part of self-development for our employees, we have been promoting skill testing and certification, and we have been striving to improve technical skills. In addition, we recognize the importance of technical skills certification systems, and we actively cooperate in the provision of testing venues and testing staff, contributing to the promotion of technical skills ventures. These efforts were favorably acknowledged, leading to our receiving this award.

Received Silver at the Sustainability Site Awards 2023 (January 2023)

Daifuku received the silver award (excellence award) at the Sustainability Site Awards 2023. This award reflects a rating of corporate websites based on the comprehensiveness of sustainability information; this rating is given by the Association for Sustainability Communication (ASC), a general incorporated association that conducts surveys and third-party evaluations related to sustainability information disclosure. Of all domestic listed companies and unlisted major corporations, the top 1% of overall outstanding websites are divided into three categories and awarded gold (grand excellence award), silver (excellence award), or bronze (superior award). In 2023, among the 4,095 companies that were assessed, 4 companies received gold, 30 received silver, and 5 received bronze.

LCA Society of Japan Chairman’s Award (February 2021)

Daifuku received the LCA Society of Japan Chairman’s Award in the 17th LCA Society of Japan Commendations hosted by the Life Cycle Assessment Society of Japan (JLCA). The JLCA honors outstanding initiatives related to life cycle assessments (LCAs), and these commendations are awarded with the aim of supporting corporations and organizations that make efforts toward reducing environmental impact from products’ life cycles. We received this award as a result of favorable evaluations of a variety of our efforts and initiatives, such as the operation of the Daifuku Eco-Products Certification Program, which applies LCAs to our products; the positioning of LCAs in our corporate management; and our continued and progressive results.

The Biodiversity Biwako Network Is the Recipient of the Grand Prize at the Japan Nature Conservation Awards 2021 (January 2021)

The Biodiversity Biwako Network, in which Daifuku’s Shiga Works participates, received the grand prize in the education and outreach category at the Japan Nature Conservation Awards 2021 hosted by the Nature Conservation Society of Japan. This award recognizes initiatives that contribute significantly to nature conservation and biodiversity preservation, and the implementation of Operation Dragonfly 100: Save Shiga’s Dragonflies, which is developed by the Biodiversity Biwako Network, was favorably evaluated. In this initiative, participating corporations work together to improve local biodiversity and promote awareness through dragonflies.

Verification of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions

To improve the reliability of our greenhouse gas emissions calculation data (including energy consumption), the data was verified by a third-party organization.
