Novi, MI (June 16, 2021) - Daifuku North America Holding Company has named Todd Alderman as president of the Jervis B. Webb Company, its airport and automated guided vehicle systems division. Mr. Alderman replaces the retiring Tim Hund, who has held the position since 2016. Todd has been with Jervis B. Webb for 25 years, during which time he has served in many capacities, including manager of controls engineering, director of business development and vice president of operations.

“Todd has had a long and distinguished career with Jervis B. Webb and is eminently qualified to lead the company forward. He has deep experience in all aspects of the business and has shown exemplary performance in everything he does. I am fully confident that the Webb business will flourish under his leadership,” said Shuichi Honda, President and CEO of Daifuku North America.

Mr. Alderman began his career with Jervis B. Webb’s Ann Arbor Computer division in 1996 as an engineering intern and has remained with the company ever since. As a controls engineer, he oversaw conveyor projects for the warehousing and distribution, automotive and airport industries. As director of business development, he was responsible for sales of airport baggage handling systems. And as vice president of operations, he oversaw engineering, project execution, sales, procurement and manufacturing.

"For over 55 years, our business has been part of the Boyne City, Pellston, and Harbor Springs communities," said Tim Hund, President of Jervis B. Webb. "We are proud of this new endeavor and look forward to consolidating our skilled workforce in one location to expand our manufacturing capability and best serve our customer’s needs."

Mr. Alderman has both a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He holds two patents, including a recent patent for a mobile inspection table that uses automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to streamline airport baggage inspection operations.
