Automated Warehouse & Picking Solution Cut the Lead Time by a Third
PT Mitra Pinasthika Mulia (“MPM”) is a parts retailer of Honda motorcycles in East Java, Indonesia. MPM has a warehouse in Sidoarjo, located south of Surabaya City, where it ships its products to dealers and retailers in East Java.

In the former warehouse, goods were stored by pallets on fixed racks. As the number of SKUs increased to meet customer needs, the volume of items handled increased and the work became more complicated, making it impossible to handle with the existing warehouse facility.
해결책
이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 MPM은 2020년에 기존 창고 인근 부지에 새로운 2층 창고를 건설하고 mini load AS/RS, Sorting Transfer Vehicle 및 피킹 시스템을 설치했습니다.
전수
새 창고는 팔레트 위에서 빠르게 이동하는 품목을 위한 바닥 보관 공간과 중간/느리게 이동하는 품목을 위한 AS/RS 공간으로 구성됩니다. 입고되는 상품은 receiving inspection 중에 두 영역 중 하나로 분류됩니다.
Medium and slow-moving goods are transferred from carton boxes to plastic containers after the receiving inspection, then stored in the mini load AS/RS.
선발
고객으로부터 주문이 접수되면 WMS는 검색 지침을 mini load AS/RS로 보냅니다. AS/RS 주문한 컨테이너를 2층 컨베이어로 회수합니다. 그런 다음 컨테이너는 Sorting Transfer Vehicle (STV)를 통해 피킹 스테이션으로 배송됩니다.
At each station, batch picking is performed and then sorted by order using Digital Assortment System, a put-to-light system, on the back of the pickers. Products sorted by order are then packed and transported to the shipping area on the ground floor for order consolidation with fast-moving items. The shipping products are then sequenced in the shipping order and loaded on trucks.

결과
AS/RS 저장 용량이 크게 증가하여 MPM이 최대 13,000개의 SKU를 처리할 수 있습니다. 기존에는 주문 접수부터 배송까지 3일이 걸렸습니다. Goods-to-Person Picking 시스템 도입으로 업무 효율성이 대폭 향상되었으며, 배송 리드타임이 기존 대비 1/3로 단축되어 주문 접수 시 당일 배송이 가능해졌습니다. 또한, 배송 정확도가 99.9%로 대폭 향상되었습니다.
