Automated Pallet Replenishment for Case Picking

Conventional method

Conventional replenishment operations use forklifts to collect empty pallets from picking windows and replenish full pallets from the stock area. This requires forklift operators and can result in replenishing errors, accidents, and lost operation time while waiting for replenishment.

Automated solution

Daifuku's Automatic replenishment system uses a unitload AS/RS to solve the issues. A stacker crane automatically collects empty pallets from picking windows and supplies a full pallet from its inventory. This eliminates the need for forklift operators and the accompanying human errors and lost operation time.

Automated Case Replenishment for Piece Picking

Conventional method

Conventional manual replenishment methods require replenishment workers who may make mistakes and replenish the wrong picking windows. Valuable operation time is also lost while correcting a replenishment mistake or waiting for a replenishment to be completed.

Automated solution

Daifuku's automatic replenishment system uses a mini-load AS/RS to solve the issues. A crane automatically replenishes picking buffer lanes in a timely manner so that the need for replenishing workers, and the accompanying human errors and lost operation time, is completely eliminated.
