Daifuku North America Announces Grand Opening of New Manufacturing Plant
A world-class facility that combines Northern Michigan operations
Novi, MI - Daifuku North America Holding Company (Daifuku) announces a Grand Opening Ceremony, to be held at noon on October 11, 2022, for its new manufacturing plant in Boyne City, Michigan, USA.
Daifuku has invested $26M to build this world-class 225,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. It is located on 22 acres of land at 300 M-75 South in Boyne City. The manufacturing plant, which is operated by Jervis B. Webb Company, a Daifuku North America subsidiary, combines the operations of the previous Boyne City, Harbor Springs, and Pellston plants under one roof. It is the manufacturing hub for airport baggage handling products and automatic guided vehicles.
“In 1964, our business began its expansion into the northern Michigan communities of Harbor Springs, Pellston, and Boyne City,” said Todd Alderman, President of Jervis B. Webb Company. “After 58 years, we built this new plant to reflect the commitment to our quality team members and communities in this area while increasing our production capacity to support our growth. With all manufacturing under one roof, this is an excellent opportunity to streamline our processes and eliminate inefficiencies.”
Jervis B. Webb Company (Webb) builds conveyor components for complex systems that support airports, automotive, and general industries. Some product lines include Mobile Inspection Tables, Conveyors, Vertical Sortation Units, Baggage Claim Carousels, and Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) Systems.
