Jervis B. Webb Adds 300TT SmartCart AGC to its Line-Up of Automatic Guided Vehicles
— Jervis B. Webb Company – a subsidiary ofand a leading provider of material handling solutions – announces a new Automatic Guided Cart (AGC). The 300TT (Tunnel/Tugger) provides a flexible and affordable way to move products on an assembly line or to transport goods throughout a plant or warehouse with the capability to tunnel under carriers.
The 300TT SmartCart AGC is capable of towing up to 4,000 pounds and carrying up to 2,400 pounds. This model is available with a 1-1/4ʺ diameter pop-up pin that allows trailers to be towed from underneath, commonly referred to as ‘tunneling.’ This allows for automatic coupling and decoupling of trailers, increasing flexibility within the assembly or warehouse operation.
Jervis B. Webb Company has designed and manufacturedfor over 50 years. The AGC is Webb’s most popular AGC. It is a smaller version of the 300TT. It can handle loads of up to 1,950 pounds and helps dozens of businesses move products and materials on a smaller scale. The 300TT meets the needs of customers who want to move loads heavier than 1,950 pounds. Over 3000 SmartCart AGCs have been installed around the globe since 2001. Webb also designs and manufactures that move loads up to 150,000 pounds.
“Our goal is to continue to find innovative ways to help businesses be more productive within their operational footprint,” said Rob Schmit, President of Jervis B. Webb Company. “We are pleased to reveal that the 300TT attains this goal while also offering ultimate flexibility, reliability and scalability at an affordable price.”
AGCs provide increased flexibility because the magnetic path that they travel on can be quickly installed and modified to meet changing production needs. AGV systems are also scalable allowing capacity to be easily increased or decreased by adding or removing vehicles.
