Daifuku Group to Acquire Wynright Corporation

Osaka, Japan – Daifuku Co., Ltd. (Daifuku) announced today that its wholly-owned U.S.-based subsidiary Daifuku Webb Holding Company (Daifuku Webb) has reached a definitive agreement with privately-owned Wynright Corporation (Wynright) to acquire Wynright. Under the agreement, Wynright will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daifuku Webb. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of 2013. Wynright is a U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, including leading-edge conveyor and sortation systems, voice- and light-directed order fulfillment technology, a suite of warehouse controls and execution software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.

Wynright is headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, just outside Chicago, and has regional offices and manufacturing locations throughout the U.S.
The acquisition of Wynright fits into Daifuku's new corporate management plan, Value Innovation 2017, which started in April 2013. The plan outlines the Company's goals of increasing sales and operating margin, as well as enhancing its role as a true value innovator that provides the best solutions for its customers.
