Daifuku to Establish a New Affiliate in Mexico
December 17, 2012
Osaka, Japan – Daifuku Co., Ltd. announced today that it will establish Daifuku de México S.A. de C.V. (Daifuku Mexico) as a wholly owned subsidiary to address the country's demands of the booming automobile industry. Daifuku Mexico will commence its operations, ranging from sales and installations to after-sale services for automobile production line systems, in January 2013.
Since 1992, Daifuku operated its Mexico Branch to accommodate the construction of new plants and the enhancement of production capacities of major Japanese and U.S. automakers. Moreover, projects to increase capacities at existing plants as well as plans for building new plants in Mexico by other automakers are anticipated.
With the establishment of the new subsidiary, Daifuku will proactively push its business forward in Mexico as a part of its global strategy. Furthermore, Daifuku Mexico will aim to become a provider of a variety of material handling systems, including storage, transport, sorting and picking systems, mainly to North and Central American manufacturers.
