Daifuku And Brooks Automation to Strengthen Ties Directed at Automated 300mm Fabs

Daifuku Co., Ltd., and Brooks Automation, Inc., headquartered in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, today announced a further strengthening of their joint development efforts aimed at 300mm semiconductor Fab controls and automation. Under their combined effort, Daifuku and Brooks Automation will continue to develop and supply total automation solutions to the semiconductor industry around the world.
"Brooks is committed to providing Daifuku with the best possible material control systems (MCS), Brooks intends to fully support Daifuku's newest product offerings." said Robert J. This alliance has its roots in the 1986 cooperative effort between Daifuku and Auto-Soft Corporation. Responding to a customer's desire to track work in process in a semiconductor fab, Daifuku and Auto-Soft (later purchased by Brooks Automation from Daifuku) developed one of the first integrated tracking and control systems (MCS) for the semiconductor industry. Building on that initial partnership, Daifuku and Brooks Automation have continued to work closely together to meet the growing challenges of semiconductor production.
