World Skills Competition
Daifuku has hosted skills competitions in the welding, assembly and measurement fields to improve skills in manufacturing plants. In 2008, the ninth annual competition featured the competition's third global event that included 42 participants from the United States, Thailand, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and India. Daifuku will continue to host the competition in an effort to create a strong global brand that can provide the same quality of service from any factory in the world.

A unique training system
The D-MAND (Daifuku Manufacturing and Design System) is Daifuku’s systemized method of manufacturing. Staff attends seminars and hands-on training in Japan to gain experience with D-MAND, projected and implemented by its specialized affiliate. Daifuku also offers seminars and skills test at its global affiliates.
Employee teamwork contests
Daifuku is committed to employee collaboration and encourages improvements in group skills. To develop skills, we host a group presentation contest each year.
Daifuku management nominates the winning teams for Japan's Creative Merit Award from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to heighten employee motivation.
