Installed Japan's First AS/RS "Rackbuil"
In 1966, Daifuku delivered Japan's first AS/RS rack-supported building to Panasonic. The acceptance of automated storage lead to the integration of automation within production lines, thus changing concept of a warehouse entirely. Today, with a range of models and throughput options, many industries incorporate AS/RS.
Developed the Maximum Throughput AS/RS – The Synchronized System
Daifuku has announced the development of the world's first Synchronized System with two stacker cranes operating in the same aisle. This equipment was introduced during LOGIS-TECH TOKYO 2006. Small containers are transported by a single crane while larger loads are transported by the joint effort of both cranes. Maximum crane speed is 400 m/min with 0.6G acceleration. The system boasts the best performance in the world - 800 cases/hour.
Applied RFID in Material Handling
As automatic identification technology advances, RFID is appearing in practical application. Daifuku funds RFID research to investigate passive tag features in different frequency bands.
